So far every metal song has been quite uniqie in its own way, this one is no exception in that regard, in my opinion, it is the most elusive and unstable one as far as putting a genre-stamp on it goes. Some time ago, Tom posted an excerpt from the song on his page and in the comment section there've been some interesting attempts to describe the genre, this one I found particularly intriguing: „groovy-ass tech prog deathbilly“ - and I'll leave you with that as it is naturally more accurate, objective and organic of a statement than my own geeky descriptions.
Still worth mentioning though is Linus Klausenitzer's outstanding and tasteful playing on this one including a very graceful take on the bass solo I wrote.

The chance that we have long awaited

Before the newest spell's display
The surroundings have collapsed
Meanwhile the beast has got away
But now it know it's time's elapsed

The assurance of our powers working
Unlocked a hidden door
By stepping through we entered the circle
Became masters of the arts we adore

The one task still left to be done
Is learn to wield the newfound might
But just by tracking down the beast
We already are on the path to light
